JUNIOR PROGRAM (Ages 6 – 12) 

Our Junior Program teaches children techniques that are self defense orientated while being certain they understand when to or more importantly, when not to use them.

We also emphasize doing well in school and award stars on their belt according to their academic performance.


  • - Discipline and Respect
    -

    Classes at Manalapan's UTA are conducted in an atmosphere of courtesy and respect. Students will learn to respect their class-mates and instructors, this will lead to respecting their peers outside of Martial Arts training and of course, parents and other authority figures.  
     - Controlling Aggression -
    Even the youngest student can learn to control their aggression by channeling it into positive activities.
    - Increased Focus -
    Every student at our Academy will learn to ignore distractions and to focus their attention and energy to the activity on hand. This improved focus will make studying easier leading to better grades.
    - Achievement and Fun -
    As students progress through the belt levels they will learn and master new techniques, each time adding to their confidence. This increases self esteem and will give students a positive self-image. When a student is ready for new material it’s taught in an exciting and challenging way to ensure children don’t get bored.
     

    LITTLE DRAGON PROGRAM (Ages 3-5)

    All three Dowdell kids started in the Little Dragons at the age of 4!Younger children will really enjoy this program that is especially designed
    for their age group. The emphasis is on learning several basic skills and t
    he fundamental attitudes that will prepare them to work individually, as well as in small and larger groups. Coordination, Balance and Listening Skills are worked on in a fun yet structured environment. 

ADULT & TEEN PROGRAM

This Program is geared to fitness  and  self defense,  the  Instructors  will motivate  you  through  each  and  every class,  challenging  you to  do your best.
Workouts  and drills  are fun, high-energy ways to get in shape. Each  class  is  designed  to  increase flexibility  and strength as well as burning  calories. Students  can  expect to  get  in  the best shape of their lives. lives! 
                                                       

We  have a realistic approach to self defense and believe the best defense is avoidance.  If that's not possible, you need to be able to defend yourself with your hands, feet, elbows and knees. knees.                                          

Each conflict is different so it is important to learn skills that will enable you to defend yourself while  standing; from the ground

or when being held.
